let's go camping

Was wondering if anyone here knew of anywhere to go camping around canton or jasper this time of year? All the campgrounds are closed. I recently moved here from the great smokey mountains and their are hundreds of places you can go pitch a tent beside a creek or river and camp But I can't seem to find anywhere around here to go. Thought maybe y'all could help me out.

Got a couple of ideas for you.
Amicaloa falls is not too far. Good campground if that's what you need. Good hiking.
Chattaboochee national forest is huge and owe by. There is a ton of sites in there from remote to close.

Thanks y'all.. That helps a lot. The national forest sounds like a winner to me. I'm just an old country boy who grew up camping in the mountains. Like to keep that tradition going with my kids. Thanks again

There is a great private campground around Blairsville called Trackrock. It a really nice and well maintained property with a lot of stuff to do.

National forest campgrounds on Persimmon Rd in Rabun county.On the river.One is open all year.Good trout fishing if you know how.Guns no problem.Decent huntin`,also.

I've hiked the trail near Rabun gap/ War Woman road- good trail and camp sites when I was there.
