I was a loader at UPS for a year before I went in the Air Force. Was responsible for four trucks during the midday sort. Hardest I've ever worked. Had to optimize the load. At night I dreamed of packages sliding down the chutes and hitting the rollers. When I took the Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), I maxed out the section where you had to determine what shape an unfolded diagram would become if it were folded.

I'm pretty sure there's 18 squares in that diagram.

eight 1x1 squares, five 2x2 squares, four 3x3 squares, and one 4x4 square.

8+5+4+1=18

Now that I've had a chance to take a minute and really look at it 18 is what I'm seeing. Of course I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.
