Not really a fan of shotguns for home defense because of how long they are but I love the aesthetic of old school law enforcement shotguns.
I saved a few bucks by opting for the 500 retrograde over the 590.
I’ve put a shell holder, combat style sling, and a defender tactical light mount with a Crimson Trace Rail Master pro light/laser on it. Everything that a defensive shotgun needs in my opinion.
I’m very happy with how it turned out but will be putting a nicer Streamlight combo on it eventually.
The Crimson Trace works fine but cost twice that of Streamlight while having 1/10th of its lumen output.
