I would bet you’ll be out some shipping and nothing more if you get the service that I am accustomed to from them

I was WRONG. I read their warranty statement on all sighting devices to have a lifetime warranty. It is only the rangefinders and thermal sights that have a two year warranty.
I was sure that I read that the electronics in scopes were only covered for 2 years sometime in the past.

Leupold was great in replacing my DPP. I think door to door it took about 3 weeks.

you read correctly, weather or not they changed the policy, I do not know.

I have a AR Mod 1-4 with an illuminated retical; the manual says the electronics are not under a lifetime warranty.

I’m not sure what you meant. I posted this to find out over the weekend. Directly after I received the optic in trade. (From the ODT) The warranty verbiage is vague as far as “electronics”.
