Level IV plates

Afternoon gents. not sure where to post this, if it's wrong, pleas let me know.
I'm looking to buy a pair of Level 4 plates. I have the carriers, pushes, etc already. I've looked at Spartan Armor, and Mira. I can't justify 1200 a plate for something I won't be wearing daily. What do you use, and recommend? Any coupon codes for your requests? Thanks in advance!

Because they are made in the USA, Are actually NIJ certified, not just "Rated" or NIJ "Standards" and cost to weight ratio is nice.

With the cost of hard plate body armor these days, I think I'll just pick up a pair of 12 inch round 3/8" AR500 steel gong targets at Walmart,
and hang them across my
chest and back.
