Litter from “hunters.”

My land in South Ga is on a dirt road, like many roads down there, and I always have to spend time picking up beer cans and other trash the local hayseeds throw out while out riding along "gettin' er done". It makes me furious.

I won't even throw chewing gum out the window. I am teaching my son the same. Littering is absolutely one of my biggest pet peeves.

No, I don't believe they are reckoning anything other than the next 12 pack of nasty light.
I'm a tax payer down there. I own my land and am not just some out of towner imposing on their territory.

I wasn't accusing you of littering, but I notice roadside litter increases when "tourism" increases.

Yeah around my place there isn't much tourism. There is a spot about a mile away that is a community dumping site. Also on a dirt road. I suppose it is a legal, designated area, but I am not sure. Either way it sucks I have to pick up trash every time I am at my place. I expect a piece of trash every now and then, but it is ridiculous how much crap gets thrown out on my road. We have a swamp at the bottom of the hill and it is constantly lined with garbage people throw out without ever considering it. It really pisses me off. I would like to beat these people with a bull whip.

Im probably guilty of it myself when i was a kid; but after my teen angst left i wouldn't think about littering

Its the asswipes like this that give good responsible outdoor people a bad name. Any time an area is open to the public and they can access it, they have no regard for it. Most likely their houses and vehicles look the same way. Same folks that will kill an animal and leave it lay cause they're too sorry to clean it.

Really burns me up. Same asses that throw trash out in front of my place that I have to pick up. And unfortunately they are allowed to breed more of the same.

I’ve left many places with pockets full of trash.
There was a god bit of trash at a WMA dove field when my Daughter and I attended a deer hunt there. She and I were both picking it up on our way in/out. I’m glad that she has noticed me doing this and now initiates picking it up on her own.

My old house was on the corner of my street and a busy hwy. I was out there every Saturday morning picking up trash. It is nothing new for me, so I feel your pain.

I carry some garbage bags with me on every trip to my place in south Ga just for picking up other people's trash.

I was in court one time to pay a ticket and a man was there who had been cited for littering. He went before the judge and the judge told him basically the same I just said. "I live on a busy road and every week I'm out there picking up trash...etc." He sentenced that guy to 24 hours in jail and fined the crap out of him. Inwardly I was cheering him on. LOL
