Local cat shelter transport involved in 8 death accident

I know there are more cat haters than lovers here but if this reaches just one then the post is worth it. Yesterday, a Furkids van transporting 37 cats from Atlanta to Vermont (where they were going to new homes) was involved in a multi car crash which claimed the lives of 8 people. Shelter will be needing lots of support for recovery, link to facebook fundraiser. Furkids is a large cat/dog no kill shelter here in the ATL area of which I am a big supporter.

Truck driver charged in fiery crash along I-85 in Jackson County; 8 killed

Kane Aaron Hammock, 33, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of vehicular homicide in the I-85 crash that killed eight people.

Oh, how horrible. Prayers for all those dear souls and their loved ones. Prayers for the kitties, too. Heartbreaking.
