Does anybody know of a local gun store in the metro Atlanta area, or North Georgia, that sells special 12 gauge shot shells that are lower powered and extra short to fit older shotguns made around the turn of the 20th century? Roll crimped with a cardboard wad, not star-crimped?
A shell made to fit a 2.5 inch chamber?

For use in Damascus barreled or twist steel construction barreled shotguns.

If you don't find any locally, there are a few places online:

Would have the gun inspected by a gunsmith to verify it is safe to use with modern smokeless powder.

Thanks for the other brands besides RST I looked at the RST website and the prices seem reasonable for the ammo itself $25 for 25 shells but the shipping costs more than the shells themselves, so I'd be looking at something like $60 just to buy a box of 25 rounds and have it shipped to me.

But, that box comes right to your door.
You don't waste gas driving to find it, plus, what's your time worth?
Order multiple boxes and cut the per box cost....

I got to thinking, Aguila reduced recoil shells. They're 1 3/4". You'd need to do your research
Yep, get a Mossberg or Maverick 88, put in an OpSol adapter, and those shorty shells run fine.

Even better. Give 'em a try, see if they feed.
Probably a double or single shot. My Dad has an old single with a 2 1/2 chamber. When the time comes, I might get some to try. The gun has never been shot since we had it in the mid 70s. Barrel has a bulge in the middle. I'll have to check it close before I even thought about shooting it. It was given to him and I restored it. Been a wall hanger ever since
