Local guy that stipples?

Anyone that has seen and held a quality stippled firearm can tell you quickly what the difference between quality and crap...while some traditionalists hate "ruining" your tool, some lean towards the functional ergonomics of it...i personally wish all came with the RTF texturing...love it!!

I try to hit the mark of exceptional quality with above and beyond delivery...like it or hate it, its all a matter of personal opinion...i do all of mine but the wife wont even consider letting me touch hers...she is a traditionalist and a respect that 100%...

It’s less about tradition, and more about most guns just not needing it. Unless someone breaks into your crib while you are jackin it and covered in lotion, I can’t imagine most guns sliding out of your hands... haha

Stippling also rubs on your skin like a cheese grater, depending on how you carry...

Must have had a bad experience...i carry mine everyday iwb in a softy blackhawk crappy holster and NONE of mine have ever rubbed me raw or chaffed me enough to be sensitive and im no small fella...as for why, no need to get as detailed as your example but some people do have serious issue with positive grip...not because they cant but because its uncomfortable or unsecure handling...tacticool has less to do with it than you think...it does have real benefits, not just looks...

Go for it! Stippling threads always bring controversy but a good stipple job is a huge benefit if you are really running the gun hard. Don't know of anyone who can do quick turn around tho...

Do it you won't regret it. It's not bad to carry. Was harder to carry my rami cocked and locked appendix than my stippled polymers and I carry that 42 and a M&P 2.0 5" with factory stipple pretty aggressive no complaints. Personal preference

I agree on personal preference, to each their own... I just hate looking for a gun, you see a thread and I am like cool, there is the model I want, and then I see that not only did the owner ruin the gun by stippling it, they want an extra $100 over retail because they think it is "custom" now... LOL

To me, the gun is worth $200 less than retail because you melted the handle and it looks like crap now... haha

When you say stipple on the ODT 99% of the members picture some bubba in thier basement melting a Glock frame, and some of the abominations we've seen here in the classifieds.

But there's guys out there that do really good work. If you're on Facebook check this guy out. I know you're wanting someone local, but you might can get some ideas from his page
