Anyone got an old disk with the key code they no longer use. Picked up a few old laptops and trying to fix them for the grandkids.
These have the sticker on the bottom for XP and Vista but came without hard drives. Tried Linux but does not work so well.
I threw out all my old discs - never thinking I would need them again.
Thanks

Which Linux distribution did you try? There are a lot of great ones out there -- especially good for older laptops -- such as Elementary OS, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, antiX, or maybe even Pop_OS. Let me know if you need help.

Linux MINT will run on Windows as a dual boot machine.

I just found this post looking for other Linux guys out here.

MINT is easy and probably a better first Linux Distro for a Windows user wanting to make the switch to a Linux OS.

Did you find a key for the OS you needed?
I have BETA tech key and store bought key but will have to dig through some disc.
Let me know and I'll go digging
