Loose/Fallen Optic: Long-Term Solution or Replace?

I like VC3 and have used a lot of it. We used to use it at the shop to help hard use/vibration stuff stay bolted up on forklifts. Just be sure to let it cure first and it is good to go.

depending upon the attachment did you actually torque it to a spec or just finger tight/"that's pretty tight"?

I know I put a higher $$ scope on one of my rifles recently and tightened the attachment knob down pretty tight with my fingers while I was mounting the rest of the scope. Evidently I didn't go back and torque the mounting screws later because it came loose after a few shots at the range. Luckily I noticed it when I went to adjust the elevation and felt a bit of play. Went back home and used my FAT torque wrench to actually tighten it correctly and zero issues any more.

Starting to see my problem now lol.

FAT torque wrench is great tool to have. Some optics and rings can easily be over or under tightened. You can also damage your scope or rings from too much torque being applied and not know it until later.

In think you are in ackworth so this won't help, but if you end up on the Southside, I have a torque wrench and marking pen.
