Lost my Grandma today.......Prayers Requested

My aunt said that when she passed away this morning, that my grandma opened her eyes, smiled at them and said she is ready to go......and that was it. Gave me chills....... makes you wonder about the other side, maybe she saw something, maybe not, but who knows....

It is just crazy to think that someone can muster the strength to open their eyes, smile and then say they are ready and then the next second they are gone.........

I had a similar experience with my grandpaw. I had not seen him in several years and he waited till I got to see him one last time before he passed away. People can say what they want, but I saw when the spirit left him...I still get chill bumps. I say that to say this, you can tell when someone passes away at peace, and it seems like your grandmother was one of those people that went at peace.

Yeah, she was ready and at peace. She was not afraid at all, she kept waking up saying what are you doing here and is this my funeral. She was joking all the way to the end. The Funiest was when she woke up and asked my dad why he is wearing a T-shirt at her funeral.

That being said the service was great, and she will be missed. We're going to have to go back up for the burial service in March as she will be laid to rest in Arlington and they have a 3 to 4 week back log of burials.

Thanks for all the comments, they are appreciated.

Received news that my Grandma passed away at 3:51 this morning. She had a long 89 years and will be missed. Along with my Grandma, my wife's grandmother is in the hospital with ovarian cancer and is not doing well.
Life can't be relived. Do what you need to do to not have regrets for things you should have done after the loved one is gone. Sorry for your loss. Tell your wife we're hoping for the best for her grandmother.
