There’s a .22 plinking range for pistols and rifles at River Bend that’s set-up to keep them interested. Now if we can just keep the grown ups out!

From oodles of experience....

Almost all kids have very little interest in target shooting paper.
They’re not much interested in seeing if they can shoot a tighter group than their Dad or Grandpa.
What gets their attention is any reactive target, something that moves, something that dings, something that does something else when hit.
Even shooting clays laid around the range will suck them in.

Agreed. Boys in particular find themselves competing with their fathers. Make sure they are enjoying the shooting as much as you are.

I'm ready to pull the trigger, just need to find two members to sign off on me. I'm shooting the steel challenge match again for the 2nd time there in March.

This 9 year old girl shooting at the Ga State USPSA back in September was the highlight of the match for me.

Not lying here, that’s badass. Absolutely awesome. She can handle herself better than some grown men. Case in point, YouTube “Try Guys Go Shooting.”
