Love the ODT But ............

I'll bet the volume of trades here is higher than GON. If so, that means if pricing follows a normal (Gaussian) curve the number of guns higher or lower than the average should be greater on ODT vs GON. If that is the case, why would anyone pay closer the the median price when you can clearly see similar guns which have gone for a lower price?

You know how no one ever buys retail at those stores that always seem to have a big sale once a month? Same kind of thing IMHO.

Dang son I had to look up Gaussian curve. Us old timers called that a bell curve. :D

good point

I've tried buying at both forums, people put up ads and don't ever reply back to their ads on both sites...seems stupid to to me to go through the trouble of posting it for sale if you don't check and see if someone wants your item....this may be a little off point,if so I'm sorry OP

A short story I used to buy a lot of antiques and I noticed that some antique stores had very high prices and then the stores will go out of business.. After many years I believe I have the theory why that happened. People from within the antique store would buy from each other.... A new item would come in and go to Booth one it was a dollar same item would be bought it be resold for $4 than $6 than $8 then $12 never leaving the antique store... Just switching owners till everything item inside the antique store had done that multiple times.. And now it was more than the market would bear for anything inside of it so customers stopped coming in and buying.
. The people inside the bubble never seem to figure out what happened

I have had the same experience too

I have had similar experiences. No interest here but it sells fairly quickly on GON at or close to full asking price. I think that there is more compeition here and this slows sales and results in having to sell for lower prices.
