Luminox watch band.... anyone else have trouble?

I had the same problem with mine. finally found a band that worked. Then the o ring started leaking. Customer service said if I wasn't the original purchaser with a receipt, I was on my own. And their o rings are a different size than anyone else's- I went to about 5 watch shops, and nobody had one that fit. So I threw it in a drawer and haven't messed with it since.

I have a couple of Luminox watches. First one had a rubber strap. I changed 3 straps in 16 years. Last one has been on for 4 years. Rubber does become dry and brittle with age, especially if you work with solvents, bleach, etc.

My buddy had same issue on an older one. He found out a Luminox seller had a new style band. Carbon fiber if I'm not mistaken. Nice add on, but almost twice the price of replacing original.

Mine broke after a year. Bought an aftermarket one and it has been fine for the past 3 years. The numbers on the dial bezel wore off pretty quick. For a watch that claims to be tough and priced as such it's a ripoff.

I used to wear a watch. I left a nice one at the firing point because it interfered with my sling and was so disgusted that I have very seldom worn a watch.
