M1 Carbine

Looking to pick up a USGI M1 Carbine. Saginaws, NPMs, Underwoods, Quality Hardwares would be my first choice. Really, anything but a Blue Sky import or Universal. Not looking for a correct gun. Arsenal reworks/mixmasters are fine - just want all GI parts. This gun is going to get shot quite a bit, so I'd like to find a gun with an ME of 1.5 or better.

This carbine will be my son's first rifle. He was named after his great grandfather who carried an M1 Carbine in the Pacific in WWII, then later in Korea.

Please help us find one!

Edited to add that I will drive just about anywhere in the state to pick up a rifle. I won't ask to meet halfway.

You did not mention a Winchester M1 Carbine? No bayonet lug and rear sight is adjustable, like an 03A3. The stock and metal is 100% Winchester, according to my Carbine people. The sling is unknown??? It is pricey, but correct. If interested, PM me. Thanks.

Thanks Bob. I didn't mention Winchester because they typically command a premium that I can't afford. PM sent anyway.
