M1a: scope or irons?

I have tried it both ways. The issue with a scope is the height above the stock. I ran a sadlak mount. It's only a 1-2 moa gun under ideal condition, so my best advice, shoot it irons. The irons are reasonable.

In for Irons. Tried to scope mine but never grouped as tight as it should have.

I scoped my DD5 V4 and that groups very well.

This was my best scope set up to keep the optic low and have flip up 45 degree iron sights

It don't take much. Just start a thread that saying Hello, and you're there. At some point your eyes will make the decision for you. That's where I'm at.

I have both and it depends. It depends upon what you wish to do with it. I like a scope for hunting , deer , Coyotes etc.

I like iron sights otherwise, purist I guess.

Bassett makes a resoenably priced QD scope mount its worth a try to see whether or not you like a scope.

I may have one I would sell rather inexpensively I think that it was cleaned in a sonic bath and the finish is worn.

Ultimately have at least two, one scoped and one not.
