M80A1 or XM1158?????????

So I have some round which I thought were M80A1 rounds. Now I'm not sure if they are XM1158 rounds. Does anyone know how I could tell the difference? The only difference between the rounds are M80A1s have steel penetrators, and XM1158s have Tungsten. How will I know that's in mine?

You mean besides using a magnet, right?

Steel and tungsten are both ferromagnetic. So putting a magnet on it wont tell you a thing. Either figure out by stamps or go rent a PMI gun(spectrum analyzer)
