Hey I have a glock 20 with a 6" kkm barrel and I was wondering whats it called getting the slide milled for a burris fastfire? I wonder if I could do it lol. Anyway if anyone knows anyoneone that does this please pm me

It's called "getting the slide milled for a Burris Fastfire". LOL! Sorry but I couldn't resist. :p If you have a mill and can cut/measure straight then you should be GTG. If all you have is a couple of dull files and a Dremel then please post pics of your progress. I have seen old school Smiths cut dovetails with just files and patience. The latter I lack and I wouldn't recommend it.

Lone wolf performs three styles of milled cuts for optics. They don't do OEM slides. http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=156471&CAT=4877

You can just send it out (just the slide) and shipping shouldn't be cost prohibitive but any decent Smith with access to a mill should be able to mill a recessed slot to lower the optics on the slide. Brian Ott over in West Georgia is a well respected Smith with a great rapport here on the ODT. I'm pretty positive he could do it and it not take 3 months. http://www.ottgunworks.com/

TSD does a package (Optic-RMR + Milled slide) for around 500 bones. A bit salty and proud of their mad machining skills at $250 a pop for just the rear milling slot. http://www.onesourcetactical.com/tsdslideinstallation.aspx
I'd contact Brian and see what he would charge first.

If I ever get my slide-it's been months (G20L), I may have it milled for low set optics too.

Here is a thread on Warrior Talk devoted to optical pistols. http://www.warriortalk.com/showthread.php?91950-Red-Dot-Pistol-Picture-Thread!
