Ok I have a 336 that was made in 1974. Mine apparently uses the "old" style screw for the front band and magazine plug. I have ordered probably 5 separate sets of screws that all end up being new style and wont fit. Question is, if I buy a new style band and a new magazine tube plug, will that fit my gun? is everything the same except for the screw size? also I wanted to get a new stock as mine is cracked and no matter how tight I get the tang screw, the stock is not secure and wobbles up and down and I wanted to make sure that's not a problem with the gun but rather just the stock. Finally, has anyone ever tried those ghost ring sights for them? I have a really hard time seeing the front sight and wanted to see what others opinion on the matter is. BTW normally I would just go get a new gun but this is the one my dad gave me that he has had since 1974 when he bought it. Just want it to be a good gun forever but need to correct these issues. any advice is appreciated.
