I have a Marin 39a that was handed down to me recently that needs some work. Looking for recommendations in the north ga area for someone that can take care of pitting, rebluing and some other repairs.

Thanks in advance

You could just sell it to me and save yourself the hassle of finding someone. J/K good luck with you search restoring such a fine rifle. Looking at the picture, it appears your rifle is a 39M. Straight stock and 20" barrel vs pistol grip stock and 24" barrel that 39A's wear. Regardless one of the best lever .22 ever produced, enjoy it!

I bought a 39-Mountie in about that shape some years back.
I sent it off to be hard-chromed, with a brushed matte finish.
It turned out to be a nice looking, very durable little shooter.
You might consider that option. If I can remember where it is,
I will dig it out and make some pictures.

It's past the point of scrubbing. Too much pitting for that.

That will take some filing work then sanding but with not too much effort the metal can be smoothed and polished out.

I see some really nice grain on the forearm and butt stock.

Anyone with some basic wood working skills could make that really pop.

You have a real gem in the rough there. I'd love to see it completed.
