.22 LR is a filthy little beast but I love it.
Have you attempted a detailed strip and clean including the cartridge tube?

Yes I've disassembled & cleaned. It's a mechanical feed problem--may be missing something.
If gun is held perfectly level it feeds fine but if it's tilted slightly to the left it jams on the left side of entrance to the chamber.
I've never had a centerfire marlin or winchester do that.
I was just looking for a local gunsmith familiar with Marlins.

The closest well recommended smith on the South Side is Ray. He has worked in the area for years and has been working out of Moss Pawn.
You may want to let him look at it, he is a full on Smith and machinist.
OBTW the issue you describe is the extractor is not securing the case on the breech face. A worn/broken extractor, extractor spring-dirty? Can give the issues as well as the breach face having crud where the case rim contacts it.
