It depends on how the FFL handled it. As I explained above, an FFL can acquire a receiver as one thing, then dispose it to themselves as something else, thereby changing the classification or type.

It depends on how the FFL handled it. As I explained above, an FFL can acquire a receiver as one thing, then dispose it to themselves as something else, thereby changing the classification or type.
So it would take 3 processes? They would need to acquire it as a receiver, dispose it to themselves as one and then transfer it to me as one? I'm not to familiar with all the FFL process, but the 4473 was filed as a receiver to me. Excuse my ignorance lol
As the end user, none of those "processes" effect you, nor would you see them. All you need to know is that it was transferred to you on a Form 4473 as a Receiver. End of story.
