Thought i would see if anyone in the marietta, roswell, woodstock area might have a metal detector i could borrow tomorrow. A friend of mine lost a ring in her very wooded yard and is desperate to find it. I was going to buy the detector from harbor freight but figured i might be able to borrow a decent one rather than buy a crappy one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a cheap one several years ago, to find a lost set of keys in the mud where I'd been 4x4 riding and gotten out to work on something. I had a pretty good idea where they were-- somewhere along an 8-foot wide path, and in particular about a 30 foot section of it. I found them after about 20 minutes, just a couple of inches deep. They got stepped on and pushed down and covered up in the mud.
Later I sold the metal detector online for about 80% of what I paid.
