I hope your kidding. I read the GA metal detecting laws. Written/signed permission is required for private property in Georgia if you don't own it.
Any government ground if allowed is the same and you disturb or take artifacts that are native American or 100 years old or more.
Planning to jump in next year.
I have some long term recovery starting soon that will take me 6 to 7 months to get back to normal.

Better stay away from BLM lands , ACE Lakes / Land , St Anything , Nat Anything & many parks these days .

I get the Law , mostly to protect historic sites & esp Native American & Battlefield Lands but Most of the App Mt's . Come on !

P.S The Whole City of Roswell is off limits .
