Just part of the process Bill. No matter where you start
it's too high for somebody. Some just have to vent due
to they have the desire but don't have the cash.
Might try reply "Fell free to make an offer" see where
it goes from there.
Need practice? Have a yard sale. Can have a functioning
blender for $1, they'll offer .50c. Leather recliner $20....
will you take $15? Then if you say yes they have to go home
to get the truck and never come back. Or mad because you
sold it while they were gone. No deposit No return. Yep, that's
the risk of running a classified. No telling who will respond.

I held a yard sale one time a few years ago. I had an old t.v. for sale. As far as I knew it worked. I didn't plug it in to check before I brought it out. I just put a $5 sale sticker on it. Had a dude tell me he'd "be willing to take a chance on it for $3".

Must be part of a lot guys mentality - probably think everything is overpriced (except their stuff). Always try to "win" the negoiation deal. If they can get anything for less, then these guys will boast about how they got a better deal or never pay full asking price.

Then on the other hand, some guys are just really cheap.
