Might be the best $430 out the door I’ve spent in a long time.

Talked to their reps at the GOA Convention last year after handling all their guns. TISAS or their parent company are an aerospace engineering and missile company in Turkey. The gun thing is a side piece for them. They are ISO certed and I dare say a good bit ahead of 1911s from the P.I. The Yukon bobtailed 10MM really caught my eye last year. They make good stuff, and one is next on the agenda....
I agree. They are better built with better steel than anything coming out of the Philippines, IE: Rock Island, ATI, Charles Daly etc, and at a better price.

Just an FYI.

Every part in every gun manufactured since late 2022, with the exception of the recoil plug is machined from forged steel.

I read that as well but could not verify it with a second source. I am not a fan of that particular model but they do have some that look awesome. I was looking at one a couple of times but just didn't follow through. They do have a two tone model I did see at Bud's Gun Shop. It might have been an exclusive but not 100 percent sure and the price was very reasonable. I think I opted for the Springfield Garrison from CTS back when I was looking at them very seriously. I just didn't have enough info on them. I was reading/ hearing there was a Turkey job and a American job. I just couldn't find enough information at the time to be certain or I just didn't dive deeply enough into it.

I don't get it. What is the point here? Nobody that I know and I expect nobody on this thread carries a 350.00 1911 around. I think most of us would be closer at 3 or maybe even 4 times this price point. If we were to have a contest for the cheapest 1911 that goes bang every time you pull the trigger than I guess it would be a nice entry BUT, heck I have never found one that didn't at any price.
I swear that I am not a hater of Tisas or any other brand 1911 for that matter, but I am a lover of a 1911 that has the muzzle flip of a 22 LR and is always straight on target as long as the shooter is. Same goes for the other direction on price point also. I have 40 year old factory enhanced Colt gold cup nat'l match's that shoot every bit as smooth as an Ed Brown or Wilson Combat. Even the Smith and Wesson PC 1911's for that matter are very smooth. You don't have to spend 3500-4000 on a 1911 to be a sweetheart, but you don't have to hunt one down that cost less than my putter either. I admit I am an awful golfer.
Disclaimer as always! " I am not an expert or anywhere close to one"

Just put another 170 rounds down range, 150 FMJ 230 grain and 20 rounds 230 JHP. Had one round in the middle of the mag fail to fully feed, tapped the slide and it fed. It was a craptistic Sarco no name GI mag, took it out of the rotation and no more problems.

First time around I shot steel only from 50 to 15 yards. This time I shot some steel and a SQT-A1 target from 50 & 25 (all the torso shots), 15 (head shots) and 7 (the little man). The large torso is 16 inches wide at the shoulders & 25 inches tall. The little man is 2 inches x 3 1/4.

The gun is wearing in fine. I disassembled it to clean it for the first time. I was surprised to find the extractor has been radiused at the factory, pretty nice touch. I tried to get a picture of it but my phone camera-fu ain’t that good. Here she is after cleaning, wearing nicely.

Contrary to the wisdom of the Hive I am going to carry this gun. That’s why I bought it. Probably will carry it this weekend in this Bianchi 84 working around the house, it’s rattlesnake season up here on Lavender Mountain.

I have a nice TTGunLeather rig for towning around. Anyway turns out this was really $430 well spent.

After careful consideration, I have decided not to get into a gun battle with you!
