Mini 14 Mags??????

Did some research and pretty well decided on the gen2 Tapco mags. Outside of that the only mags I have found to be worth a crap is the Ruger made that are ridiculously priced. Can anyone by chance help me find the gen2 that aren't sold out or recommend an equally nice of mag?

I feel your pain... I had a stainless mini-30 that I really liked... except for the mags. I ended up trading it because I couldn't justify buying factory mags.

PMI Mags used ta' be pretty good...Back pre-AWB...Don't know about NOW, but...HTH....mikey357

I got some 20 rd mags from cdnn a few years back. The only difference between them and the ruger mags was that they were not stamped ruger, other than that they were identical.

I have a mini 14 stainless. Got some of the plastic Thermold magazines (from Sportsman's Guide I think). I figured they wouldn't work, but they were so cheap I had to try it. I tried one of them this past weekend. It was a little fussy getting it seated in the gun but it fed fine - no jams. Refilled it and shot 30 more, no problem. By the way I have a bunch of the Ruger mags too. They are still the best, but these Thermold mags work.

i loved my mini but sold it because of the mag issue...only the factory ones were 100% and im not paying $40+ for a mag

Well it's official. Gen2 Tapco mags are non existent. Guess I gotta fork out the cash for Ruger mags. If anyone has some Ruger 20 rounders pm me!
