So I had a customer back in the summer cancel the contract we had on 3 properties after we worked for him from January-April. Which leaves 8 months left on the contract. He stated lack of performance.....with no previous complaints just emailed me and cancelled. So last month I filed suit to sue him for the 8 months left on the contract. Of course he is counter suing which was fine.
Got up this morning got dressed and went to court. Got there and found out it was Yesterday and I thought it was today.....yes, my fault totally and to be honest I have a lot of things on my mind which is why I confused the days. So I left and went home logged in to the courts web site and because I failed to appear he was granted with the counter suit.
So, here we are. The only thing I can do from here is appeal the decision but I'm not sure how to go about it. Is this case sealed and done or do I have options? Can I re file a suit minus what he received on his counter suit? Need help please.....
