I've learned that you have to immediately commit if you want it, or one of these vultures on here will scoop it right out of your hands!!! If it's a great deal and you commit fast, it's still poor odds of getting it. Unfortunately, that's how the ODT rolls these days.....

As long as I can remember, there've been threads here where someone said, "I'll take it!" and before a meeting time/place can be set, some other "member who lives closer" winds up buying the widget. Lives closer = higher bid.
