He said he is really busy! (Texted him the other day)
How about:
@Xcaliber
@Dickard1865
@Navy/ArmyVet
@Chuck88
@John5757
@Bradshaw - I hope he is doing better after the stroke that almost killed him
@Nonliberal
@boneboy96
@Burdy - ODT's founder
Many of those listed are on here regularly, last few weeks.

Some haven’t been for years, I can only assume they have found other things to do in their life.

I can relate, when I’m real busy with racing, and life, I’ll go a week or two away. And I’m pretty much hooked…
Not like anything changes much, you can take a hiatus and start back right where you left off.

I’ve noticed this too and I’m not entirely sure what to make of it. You start seeing patterns if you look hard enough, which maybe isn’t healthy, but here we are.

First it was just fewer posts, right? Like, fewer people chiming in on the usual threads. Then the usernames you expect to see just… stop. Not banned, not deleted. Just inactive. And not in a “life got busy” kind of way either — more like unplugged mid-sentence. I checked one guy's profile and his last post was literally mid-discussion about optic height and then nothing. Who leaves in the middle of a point about reticle distortion? No one normal.

Also — and I don’t want to cause alarm — but I swear the same thread keeps appearing, slightly different every time. It’s always something like “Best carry gun for rainy days” or “If you had to bug out with only two calibers,” and the OP is always a new account with one post. You read through it and it’s all responses from accounts I’ve never seen, talking in circles. Like simulation filler content. One guy recommended carrying five extra mags for a revolver. I asked him how that worked. He never replied.

There was a thread last week titled “DO NOT EAT THE PEACHES” and it was gone within three minutes. No trace. Not cached. Someone screenshotted it and posted it to the Firearms chat, and their account got locked for “abnormal login activity.” Could be unrelated, but I doubt it.

I also noticed there’s been a strange uptick in people asking about “non-serialized” things. Not guns. Just... vague. “Non-serialized containers,” “non-serialized light sources.” What does that even mean? I tried to look it up and ended up on a Czech website that played a siren sound until I closed my browser.

And if we’re being honest — the classifieds feel off now. I saw someone selling a “gently used memory of a range trip” for $25. Shipped. The thread had six likes and a “PM sent” within seconds. I messaged the guy to ask if it was a joke and got a reply in binary.

Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe I’m just spending too much time here. But I miss when people used to argue about whether 10mm is “back” and if cerakote voids the soul of a rifle. Now it’s just silence and strange energy.

Anyway, I don’t have answers. But if you’re reading this and you’ve gone missing, come back. Or at least log in once so the rest of us know it’s safe.

Also if you see a thread titled “THREAD DELETED BY AUTHOR” but there’s no author listed — don’t open it. Just trust me.
