THE Jason Bournes and Jack Ryans of this world are seemingly out of the movie game for now. Perhaps for good.

Therefore the way is clear for a younger, hungrier, and cooler spy guy to step forth from the shadowy world of international espionage.

So say hello to (and then duck for cover from) Mitch Rapp, a can-do counter-terrorism operative rapidly and ruthlessly rising through the ranks of the CIA.

I sort of pictured Rapp as more clean cut but we shall see........

I'm looking forward to the movie and am reading the new book now. I like the Michael Keaton casting as Hurley, but I've seen some pictures of Rapp where it looks like he might enjoy an Apricot Frappucino. Some of the other casting goes contrary to the books.

I am having a hard time supporting Holly weird nowadays. Seems like dang near every actor is a liberal scumbag. And they are always trying to inject their political and philosophical beliefs into everything they put out.

The book was great and I looks forward to seeing how they finish the story off regarding the torture scene of Hurley. I don't know why they felt the need to change the story line to one that's been done a thousands times. This is one story that could have been done 100% to the book IMO.

Agreed, and casted like the book. Irene Kennedy is described numerous times in each Mitch Rapp book, but looks nothing like the person playing her. I always pictured Rapp way more 'dangerous' looking. Kind of like Russell Crowe in Gladiator. I'll go see it then reevaluate though...
