I feel like I should send you $10 for the cool story.True story: When I was a kid it was fairly easy to buy running, driveable cars from a junk yard. In 1957, my buddy and I bought a 1938 Buick Special for $25. The yard owner threw in a dual carb intake manifold from a non-running Buick Century he had on the lot. We installed the intake and split the exhaust manifold and ran straight pipes to the rear using gutter downspout pipe.
We took the car to the drag strip at Brooksville and won C Stock class three weeks in a row. While racing the fourth week, a shifting fork broke in the transmission. We limped the car back to the junk yard and sold it back for $15.
You just can't buy a month of fun and a lifetime of memories for $10 anymore.
And low weight.High speed, low drag.
