Mosin M44 Carbine $230 @ Classic City

I'm not trying to be an asshat or anything but have I completely missed something on why everyone thinks 200 bucks is a great deal on a old ass bolt action rifle that was selling by the bucket loads a few months ago for 90 bucks. They aren't rare and they aren't evil semi auto black rifles so why the price hike. No other bolt action rifle I've seen has jumped in price, much yet doubled. I just don't get it I guess.

These are not standard 91/30's. Since I've been buying, I've never seen a nice m44 sell for 90 bucks.

"an old ass bolt action rifle" = A quality inexpensive piece of history, that is cheap/fun to shoot.

M44s have always been at least double standard 91/30

I agree great cheap fun to shoot

You can still get the M91/30s online for around 90 bucks. A few lucky ODT members got a few last week. Shooter grade but still nice rifles.

But like a lot of folks in this thread have stated, the M44s have always been priced higher then the M91/30s as far as I know.

They are a lot of fun to shoot and cheap ammo. Plus the fire ball that comes out of the muzzel makes me smile everytime I pull the trigger.
