My only concern , and I say concern lightly, would be that Soviet era paint on the outside of the crate. While it may not seem like a big deal, I'm sure that it's full of lead. Might want to spray some sort of a clear coat over it. Not worth it for the little kddep's one day. You know they get into everything and so forth.
