Mosin Oil bottles

Anyone here collect mosin, sks, ak oil bottles, i was surprised at how may different kinds and styles there are.

I've never fondled one.

Do they have oil or grease in them?

If oil, how do you apply it?

I have two different kinds of Swiss grease and both have pins mounted to the lids so you can apply the grease. The automatenfett actually has a small brush on the end of the pin.

I've ordered some AK oilers from Centerfire before and one had oil in it. It was a Romanian surplus canister and from what I briefly read online, the Romanians might have used recycled tank oil or something to that effect. Whatever it was, it had motor oil consistency and smell and works pretty good.

Most of the one's I have got had a little bit of oil in it. I have seen dual and single tank bottles. I think the dual ones are supposed to have oil in one and cleaner in the other.
