DMV will not accept a copy of the binder. Some jurisdiction still asks for a paper copy, even if it is in the system. I usually go in next day. It must be in their system. That is the reason why they do not ask for a copy of the binder, sometimes. Bill of sale is not required. Signed title and having the insurance coverage in the system.

Wrong. All that is needed is a binder if you are going to the tag office the same day that you insure the bike. I've been down this road 40+ times, with the most recent being less than a month ago.

Stopped by the insurance agent to get insurance on the bike, 10 minutes later I was at the tag office getting my tag. The insurance wasn't in the state system.

Yep. i got my bike done also. They didn't ask for insurance, but i gave them.
Your agent can fax copy of insurance also.
