My tag office didn't even ask, LOL
It's been a while, but the last one I owned was purchased out of state and brought back to Ga. You just need to take the title down to the tag office, from what I remember. The actual motorcycle doesn't have to be present, if I recall. Hope that helps.

Tag office wont ask anyways. Insurance company will unless they know you well enough. Mine didnt ask and I have yet to get my license...

You need insurance binder (or the insurance has to be in the system).

I've owned 40+ bikes, and just registered one a couple of weeks ago. It's no different than than any vehicle in GA.

Yeah, bring money for the Value Added Tax....
DMV will not accept a copy of the binder. Some jurisdiction still asks for a paper copy, even if it is in the system. I usually go in next day. It must be in their system. That is the reason why they do not ask for a copy of the binder, sometimes. Bill of sale is not required. Signed title and having the insurance coverage in the system.
