I just saw that they have a remake of "True Grit" now. Some movies should be off limits. And if the Duke ain't turning over in his grave already, they put Josh Brolin in the thing. Just one of the most Liberal Buttheads in the business.

Yeah I heard about this awhile back. Pissed. I hope John Wayne's ghost comes back and blows the director all to hell..... This is one movie I will NOT be going to see..

That's the problem with Hollywood and the Music industry nowaday's, no more Imagination. They have to keep going back to the Classics and try to remake them better, yea right. In the last 10 years look at all the Remakes that they've tried, can you name a Great Movie remake that was better than the Original? That won any Awards? IMHO Some things should just be left alone.

I will be going to see it. It will be paying homage to the original, since the original cast and crew are surely getting royalties. And as for older things remade....The new Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, etc are proving to be solid. IMHO.

Plus, Jeff Bridges is a great actor.

I find this partially true and by partially i mean not at all, creativity works in ten year cycles for the people in the biz, each ten years the same story is remade and shoveled to the endearing public. I mean honestly how many times are we going to watch movies that mirror Orwells 1984? There are at least two dozen i can think of that have happened in the past ten years. Some times people just need to watch and see what the movie is and if they have seen it before just with a slightly different story line and cast.

Also I hope they don't butcher true grit like they did the wolfman. Good lord was I heated after that one.

The only remake I have seen, that I thought was halfway decent, was "3:10 to Yuma". Maybe because they took a lot of liberty with the script. All in all, I think it's a lack of creativity. Although there was certainly a whole ****load of creative thinking (lying) in Algores "Inconvenient Truth".
