Moving Ammo Within Georgia?

UPS will move it, why wouldn't a mover?

The majority of moving companies will have no trouble moving your handguns, rifles, or other legal firearms. The ammunition, however, they cannot and will not. This is primarily because ammo falls under the “volatile” category. Movers won't move gasoline, kerosene, paints, and other volatile materials, either.

Funny how one needs a HAZMAT endorsement to haul small arms ammo in a commercial truck, but that same truck does't require placards identifying hazardous content.

I'd rent a U-haul and have some friends load it and unload it for you.
Drive it to your new home yourself.
Then treat your friends to beer and brats and BBQ.

I'll bet you could put 800 lbs. of ammo inside a regular car, a 4-door sedan, safely and easily. Put some on the floorboards all around the vehicle. Some on the passenger's front seat, some on the back seat, and a lot in the trunk. If you have a literal ton of ammo to move, then use 3 small cars. Or use the same car and make 3 trips.
