Lol, yeah, Mothers Of Invention was a catchy name..to me anyway.I had a brief Zappa phase a while back.......then I turned 15.
And then..
Ted was the first concert I attended. Warm up band was Blue Oyster Cult, 1979, Huntsville Al.
The last time I saw him was over in Tifton at ABAC...many years ago, in the 70's.
Yeah, agreed, clever name, I always thought so,too. My issue was that his "music" was insufferable, self-indulgent, $#it-racket. I could get around him being a rabid Progressive/atheist nit-wit ( like most if my musical heroes), but he was so obsessed with non-conformity and pushing the envelope, that he simply went full-retard.
I agree, hardest crap I ever listened to. Only folks I knew that owned albums were the Navy guys stationed in Albany...lolYeah, agreed, clever name, I always thought so,too.
