I insulted Hank Jr on the phone once back in the 80s. He is/was (no idea now) friends with a former employer of mine. After hours one evening after the operator went home and the phone was set to ring through so anyone could answer, I picked up a call "Wayne-err?"(translates to "Is Wayne there?" I think)...me -"No sir, he's left for the day. Can I take a message?" ... "Just tell him Hank called". me- "May I ask, Hank who?" ..Hank--"Damn boy, you ain't no country fan are you?" me--"Oh that Hank! ...No sir, More a classic rock guy but I do like some of your dad's old stuff" ...Hank--"mumble mumble no damn sense"...click.
