It's why I'd rather just ask whoever I was selling to whether they were a prohibited person or not, and whether they're a resident of Georgia. I don't think it's unreasonable to at least be able to tell the police - in the event of some kind of problem - that you'd done that much diligence - even if the buyer flat-out lies to you.

If the buyer finds that level of inquiry offensive, they can always walk away from the deal.

I tell folks at the gun club who want to sail guns only to only other club members, "Just because a member has a GWL or passed a background check doesn't mean they're a law abiding or good person. It generally means only that they haven't been caught or successfully prosecuted for breaking the law."

The only time I ever "felt" someone was sketch before a transaction? Dude pulls out a valid GWL and volunteers it. He didn't look like me or talk like me, but that's not a reason to refuse to trade with him. He still contacts me for firearms and shooting advice and even joined the gun club.
