Muzzle Flash reduction capabilities on pistol vs. rifle suppressors

Hello fellow plinking enthusiasts,

I have a question that I cannot find in my online research and hoping you all can help out.

I am looking for the equivalent (not exact, just similar) of a KAC or Surefire suppressor in 9mm size.

I understand they have to be smaller/lighter because of their application/weight, but I am looking at something that is excellent at PRIMARILY reducing muzzle flash.

I think I saw Otter Creek Labs do some 9mm flash testing. Pretty sure they have a new 9mm can based on the infinity in the works (milkman?) That might be a contender.

But anyways Jay with Pew Science was talking awhile back about getting quite a few questions about this, and he didn't understand why. Maybe he did an episode on it, I haven't listened to him in a little bit.

The R9 is the only 9mm silencer I can think of that has some type of flash mitigation built into the endcap. If there is not a off the shelf solution one of the smaller companies may be able to make you a flash hider endcap for something like an Alaskan that has a removable endcap.

If you need to reduce it to maintain your sides night vision a great cheap solution for a few rounds at a time is allow the cover of the suppressor to extend a few inches or wrap the nozzle with nomex or polyacrylonitrile (OPAN) fibers and a coupling
