I asked the same question. Before the torment begins they are given a code for their team) When they kill a Coyote they place the code in the roof of the mouth and zip tie the snout.

When the kills are tallied the Tournament managers open mouths and check for code.
Rigormortis sets in within one hour so mouths cannot be opened or closed after one hour which means you cannot harvest , freeze then thaw Coyotes for the tournament.
