My # came up hit a deer tonight

I didnt see this one literally when I saw him he was hitting my truck / vice versa he apparanetly was running when his hooves hit the pavement

Doesn't take but a split second. I know I've had at least 2 collisions with them. Once in the front and one or two in the side. And my Wife has had at least one. Two of the three vehicles still wear those scars. Truck with a couple dents down the side and a car with a basket ball size dent in the hood. That's been some years ago now

I think back about all the times I have had close calls with deer (while driving.) A buck ran out like a rocket tonight Hwy 34 East , I was driving maybe 50 mph

Luckily its driveable and I was not hurt , except my underwear are soiled.

Be careful they are moving lime theres no tomorrow.

Dang man, glad you’re okay! I was taking my wife to Jonesboro one Saturday morning about 5 am for MRI’s, we were only about 3 miles from the house on Buddy West Rd when a buck just kinda “flashed” in front of the headlights and nearly scared me to death! If my car had’ve had a squared off front end and I hadn’t jumped on the brakes I would’ve hit it but luckily it just brushed across the headlight on my side. Had one run outta the woods on Roscoe Rd right after turning on from S. Fulton Pkwy about 5:30 am coming home from work about 15 years ago and ran right into the bed of the truck I had back then. Put a pretty big dent in it and it’s antlers almost poked a hole in it, I’ll bet he had a headache after that. 😂

I was taking my wife to Jonesboro one Saturday morning about 5 am for MRI’s, we were only about 3 miles from the house on Buddy West Rd when a buck just kinda “flashed” in front of the headlights and nearly scared me to death! Fortunately it was a ‘94 Toyota tiny truck before they were called Tacomas. Didn’t hurt it too bad plus I wasn’t worried about dents & scratches on that truck, it was a farm truck before I got it so it already had a few dents & scratches on it. lol

I’ve hit several over the years. Once in the middle of nowhere in VA on a motorcycle. Luckily I saw it coming and gassed it hard. It hit my motor and engine guards so I didn’t go down. That was close.
