My Ruger Gunsite Scout thread of awesomeness

RUGER GUN SCOUT 308 16 INCH TUBE CAM00463.jpgThis is a RGS 308 with a SWAF 16 x 42 scope, if your shooting long range and you want to drive nails this setup will bring your target in from 500 yards to 32 feet, 100 yards to 6.5 feet.
I SHOT A DEER AT 420 YARDS LOOKING AT 2 INCHES OF HIS BACK, DROPPED IN HIS TRACKS, I'VE SHOT 308 FOR MANY YEARS, THIS BY FAR THE EASIEST RIFLE TO SHOOT QUICK AND ACCURATE, THE WEIGHT IS NOT BAD EVEN LOADED UP AND THE BIG SCOPE. IF YOUR SITTING IN A BOX STAND OR A CLIMBER THE 16 INCH SHORT BARREL IS PERFECT. DON'T LET THE 16 INCH BARREL SCARE YOU FROM SHOOTING LONG RANGE ,I HAVE SHOT GALLON MILK JUGS AT 700 YARDS AFTER ABOUT 6 SHOTS YOU CAN DIAL IT RIGHT IN. SWEETEST 308 YOU COULD OWN. IF YOU LIKE THE LEVER ACTION I'VE ALSO TRICKED OUT A MARLIN 308 LR, ANOTHER SWEET SHOOTING GUN OUT TO 400 YARDS ON GOOD DAYS AND 300 YARDS EVERYDAY.
IF YOU GOT ONE FOR SALE AT A GOOD DEAL I'LL BUY ANOTHER ONE.

think im gonna save up and after deer season ends im gonna send my Gunsite to Accurate Ordnance and get them to true the action and lap the lugs. maybe go ahead and glass bed the stock since it looks like nobody is ever gonna produce a nice, quality, aftermarket stock for it.

some may argue that's a waste of money on a "Scout" type rifle. but hey, wouldn't you want to get the most accuracy out of your rifle?

Still debating on swapping out my 1-4x VX Hog to something with a bit more power. thinking a Leupold VXR 2-7 Ballistic Firedot is on my wishlist this year lol!

I don't see this rifle going anywhere in the foreseeable future. still loving it! and still willing to spend money on it!
