I just had the knock at the door from the ups guy. He dropped off the big brown box. I ripped it open and was pleasantly surprised to find a all matching 1934 hex receiver Mosin. I gotta figure out the manufacturer I thought only tula did hex but the symbol looks like the ishivek (sp).

It is an Ischeck based on the marking. I am working on mine now and will post up some pics of it after it is done. How was your stock and bluing?

The stock is a 8/10 and the bluing is the same. There is a bit of rust on the barrel bands and butt plate as well as a patch or rust the size of a dime on the underside of the receiver that can't be seen. I plan on polishing out the patch and polishing the band's, butt plate, and all the other metal accents to a stainless steel finish.

I wish I could get a hold of a couple more t53s, or a shooter grade m44. Everyone is sold out or charging the price of a dang glock.

Yours was in a little better shape than mine then. My bluing was gone, some spot rust and the stock looked like it got wet. I labored for a few days and this is what I got now:

It is the top one-red mahogany

Very nice, did you re blue it? If so what product did you use?

No, I used 2000 degree primer(took barrel down to metal), then 2000 degree black, baked for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees, seems to hold up well, took the stock down to the wood, applied red mahogany stain, then clear coat sealed, cleaned the internals, soaked all of the screws, trigger parts in oil. I actually put a lot more work into this one as it was the first one I have had with bad bluing, but it is a Tula Hex, 1936 and rifling is stong, bore is shiny. I think the crate got wet a while back, thus the moisture damage. I left the front sight, and barrel bans as they were after taking the bluing off, looks kind of unusual-silver and black together.
