My south

I just love the southern stereotypes. Red neck, bare footed, slow witted, slow talkers, backward, living in the past, married our cousin, etc. I embrace all of the stereotypes. Some of them are based on the truth, but they leave out, strong character, help your neighbor, belief in God, put family first, love of country and others. We true southerners are all of these things and more And by the way, I never married my cousin, slept with her, but never married her. lol

LOL!! on the cousin stuff! but :amen: on the rest!

Don't tell anyone but I was born up north. Moved south in 1980. Every few years I will go back to visit family. After 2 days I'm ready to head south again. I love it here

While in the military, I was stationed in Colorado. I would lose my "southern" accent out there, but would come home on leave and pick it right back up. It was funny to have all my military friends refer to me as "gone back to redneck" when I would get back to base!!!

I am Florida born and bread. We spend a lot of time in N GA Folks have a house in Elljay
In Nov of 04 wifes job sent us to NH what a Shock.
Freaken CCCOLD and long winters but the Summers are to die for and schools are great.
But nothing can compare to the South just counting the days till we get back south.
