My trijicon RMR failed during my weekend shenanigans

Just like the title said my rmr after 4 weekend range days had a failure in the middle of an event I can’t believe happened.
The red dot disappears/ is disorientated in one spot and in the middle where I aim so I can’t even see the dot. It’s like a blur. There is zero damage to the glass that I can see. Trijicon said that the led might have shifted.
The other RMR I have doesn’t do it and I have it on my shotgun. This one was on my carry gun. I “upgraded” from a holosun. That I ran for years.
Repair can be 4 week plus. Switching back to my holosun. I’m not knocking the company just I expected more for paying the trijicon tax.

I guess I gotta quit saying get a trijicon that’s all you need.

Not discounting your experience, but sample size of 1 here. I’m with you that having anything fail puts a bad taste in your mouth but for every 1 Trijicon optic that has an issue there’s no telling how many multiples of Holosuns there are.

nah, this is for sure a fluke Trijicon isn’t infallible although pretty damn close I’d still recommend them but holosun ain’t bad I have a 509t on one of my carry guns and it’s honestly one of my favorite pistol optics I’ve ran an rmr on my shotgun for several years and that thing is taking 3” mag recoil every weekend like a champ lol

Yea it’s still not good. I got another one on my shotgun and it’s solid. I’m the only one with a trijicon at that event and it quit working properly. That was my carry gun too.

I had a 509T. Solid optic!
Yeah, it’s definitely a fluke. It just doesn’t sit right with me. When I get it back in 4-6 weeks idk if it’ll go on a carry. Might switch back to the holosun.
